Super Deep Leagues: Week 5 Waiver Wire

BYE WEEKS COMETH!  Here they are folks, the first of many to come.  I love this time of the year in Fantasy, because the waiver wire finally gets shook up.  No longer can teams hoard every player in hopes that they breakout.  Some teams may need a win, which in that case you cannot afford to miss out on a top add that can help your team RIGHT NOW!   If you’re on the opposite side, you start looking ahead, start playing matchups and stashing Defenses for the coming weeks.  It’s week 5 people, where the strategy truly begins!

Here’s a few SUPER DEEP LEAGUE players that might STILL be available after waivers ran earlier this morning …

Marlon Mack may not play and Hines is the passing down back, so if you’re in need of a bye week filler (Kerryon Johnson owner) and don’t have any depth to plug and play, this is a stash you should consider.  The Colts have been play playing pretty good (fantasy) with Jacoby Brissett at the helm, however with TY Hilton possibly sitting out through the bye, they’ll need to rely on other skill players to move the ball down field.

He’s a pretty hot commodity to the experts, but he’s an major asset to the super deep league.  The issue with Tate is that his position in the ranks of the WR chart is not permanent.  He’s a replacement player in the wake of the John Ross injury and AJ Green. He’s perfect for someone like the Davante Adams owner, you may need a guaranteed target share heading into week 5.  Tate has already shown rapport with Dalton, and next up they have the Cardinals in a great matchup.  He could just surprise some people.

This is a total dart throw and is a throw specifically meant for the Connor owner.  Connor had has issues with his legs in the past, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he either a) rests or b) reinjures himself in week 5.  It’s just the nature of the position.  While Jaylen Samuels is the handcuff to own here, Snell has shown some flashes of brilliance.  If you have the roster spot, give him a week and see if anything develops.

This is your last and final warning!  Johnson is about to break out (again), but this time he’ll garner way more attention for how frequently it happens.  He’s a young WR who has the ability to stretch the field like JuJu.  Just maybe he’s Mason Rudolph’s preferred big play target?  Either way, he MUST be rostered.  Think Hollywood Brown type hype if he hauls in another TD this week.

This is a reach, but he should be widely available.  Last week the Miami WRs had success, and now they’re on the verge of adding one of their assets with HUGE play potential.  He’s a gadget player who will fall into a true slot position. The issue is of course more the Quarterback than Wilson himself.  While I don’t expect much here, he’s someone to monitor as a boom FLEX option in the coming weeks as byes start to roll through.
